Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for the Peugeot brand in Malaysia, launched the Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani outlet on Dec 6 as part of a nationwide network expansion strategy.
Nasim chief operating officer Datuk Samson Anand George said Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani will enable Nasim to tap into the Kedah market and expand Peugeot’s sales in Malaysia in 2012.
“The Peugeot brand has been one of the fastest growing brands in Malaysia this year. In order for us to accelerate this growth further, it is imperative for us to bring Peugeot to new markets.”
“It is worth pointing out that of the five new outlets launched this year, four are dealerships which indicate the level of confidence investors have in the Peugeot brand,” he added.
The launch of the Sungai Petani outlet marks the 5th outlet launched by Peugeot – others in Melaka, Kota Bharu, Balakong and Kota Kinabalu – for the year.
The Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani is a 3S centre – offering sales, service and spare parts – making it 12 of such Peugeot centers in the country.
It will have the latest Peugeot models including the 508 and the RCZ.
The Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani is equipped with two service bays and can service up to six vehicles per day.
The outlet’s service centre is also equipped with the Peugeot Planet System Diagnostic tool which enables the service personnel at the centre to perform full static and dynamic diagnostics on the vehicle’s management software.
It can also be utilized to carry out software updates to ensure every Peugeot is operating with the latest software.
Peugeot currently has a total of 21 sales outlets and 19 service centers in the country.
